Electromagnetic Flange Mounted Clutch is used in textile machines, material handling equipments, conveyors, machine tools, glass making machines, marble cutting machines; stone polishing machines, photocopiers, packaging machines. The Clutch is designed with stator, rotor, coil, friction lining, armature plate, leaf spring and flanged hub. The Clutch is normally off type and operate on DC voltage, on applying DC voltage to the stator strong magnetic filed is produced, which pulls the armature towards the friction material of the rotor over the air gap and torque gets transmitted free of back lash. The Electromagnetic Flange Mounted Clutch has the feature that normally off type clutches operate on dc voltage; hence AC to DC conversion is done by means of a suitable rectifier.
